I have 9 Chihuahuas, and they love this food as much as they do treats. They go crazy for it. I have older dogs who had allergies and once I started them on a consistent diet of only FirstMate …their allergies are gone. No more licking paws, or chew spots.
We give all our friends with smalls dogs samples of FirstMate. We Believe in this product.

I recently switched my small, mixed breed dog to First Mate Chicken with Blueberries Small Bites. It was highly-recommended by my local, independent pet store, primarily because the label clearly states the percentage of the food that is meat. Many other highly-rated kibbles list meat as the first ingredient, but don’t state what percentage it is. My dog LOVES this food. I did a taste test by putting two little piles next to each other — the First Mate and her other highly-rated kibble. She ate every last piece of the First Mate before moving to the other one. I love that the kibble size is perfect for a small dog.

I feed my three Aussies (almost 13 down to almost three years old) and my English Cocker Spaniel pup (6 months) this food. Even the harsh coat on my ECS shines like black velvet. I am bummed that the town I am considering moving to doesn’t carry this food.
