I cannot say enough good things about FirstMate cat food. One of my male cats ended up with crystals in his urine and was miserable. All of the prescription and “specialty” foods designed to help with this problem are filled with a lot of stuff I was not comfortable with. I bought this canned food, and mix it daily with First Mate regular formula kibble. I have been feeding this for roughly a month, and crystals have cleared up, urinary accidents in the house have ceased, and my kitty is no longer miserable. I now feed this to both of my kitties. Their coats are soft and shiny, they are taking off the extra “indoor cat” weight, and aren’t begging for more food an hour after feeding. I don’t think I will ever feed my boys any other food again. Now I am searching for a First Mate formula for my extremely itchy dog! THANK YOU for putting out a quality product that I can afford to feed.

I’ve only started feeding this to my cat and he loves it, I’m a back of the can reader, and wish there were a few more veggies in it but by leaving out the carrageenan! It’s totally worth every penny, not to say the fact that it’s made right here in B.C. Means tons to me… not these huge companies that use the (4 D) meats ,and people wonder why there pets develop cancers .
