Dr. Carol Stuart –
Excellent food for my older hound with pancreatic issues. She likes the food, it is low enough in fat to keep her tummy happy and she is feeling much better on this food. Thanks for creating this recipe, it is the only one she actually will eat. And please don’t change the formula. We are happy it works!
Luann Breeden –
We have 2 dogs that are not tolerating the senior weight control formula. One has puked twice and the other has spit up a few times, has unhappy skin (it’s bright red) and is generally blah. Has there been any reports of issues from other owners?
Rica Talay –
Hello Luann,
We are sorry to hear about your recent experience and appreciate you for contacting us.
We have not received any additional complaints at this time.
As a family-owned and operated manufacturer, we take a great deal of pride in our product’s safety, quality, and performance. Can you please provide us with the batch number, which is the code above the best before date, so we can perform an audit? The batch information you will provide will enable our team to complete a detailed batch audit. Our audit will include reviewing the ingredients, manufacturing records, quality control checkpoints, and physical samples retained at our facility. We will let you know if our team finds variations outside of our normal parameters.
If this is your first experience with our brand, we want to note that the symptoms you have described are consistent with overfeeding. FirstMate is nutrient-dense. Typically, fewer cups of food are required daily to provide the same satiety and calories compared to options more traditionally found in the mass channel. Can you let us know your dog’s ideal weight and much typically feed every day?
Do your dogs have any allergies?
The bag can be returned to the original purchase location for a full refund or exchange as part of our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee policy.
We look forward to hearing from you.
