Our Cage Free Duck & Oats Formula uses Duck from France as the single meat protein and only two wholesome grains. The Grain Friendly family is free of corn, wheat, soy, peas, and potato, making it optimal for daily feeding or sensitivities.

The Chicken Fat used in FirstMate Pet Foods is processed free of protein, eliminating the risk of allergies derived from chicken.

My goldendoodle has always been a picky eater and has a sensitive stomach. We. finally found First Mate’s Duck and Brown Rice formula, and my dog has not skipped a meal in more than 6 months. Great for picky eaters and sensitive stomachs, and really high quality food. Ordered this product online and it was shipped to Denver within 3 days. Have also been able to find it at local pet stores to support small businesses. Thrilled to have found this!

We got this product locally first. Both our German shepherds love this food. After we bought our first bag, our local shop lost its supplier for this food, so we tried switching them to another brand. However our female would not touch any other food! So now we will be avid buyers!

My dog Lola loves this food and i love that. We have been through so many foods, i am surprised she is even a healthy weight.
I brought a sample of the duck and oats home and she stole the bag. I could barley get the sample bag open before she devoured the whole thing!!
I did try her on the lamb first mate and she turned her nose up at it but she loves the duck for sure.

This food is simple, not full of ingredients that the list is so long. It is rated very high and the price is great.. I would totally recommend this food and i cannot wait for the release of the beef and oats recipe. I think Lola would love that as well.

Love the formula and have tried different proteins this brand offers. But omg the duck leaves my boy so gassy! Or else I would leave a 5 star review. He loves it, I just don’t love the toxic gas he releases 😂

Doberman/Shepherd with a ton of allergies, plus picky but this is the only food she will eat. All her itchiness is gone, great stools, and she actually enjoys her food. Great brand, sourcing, transparency, vet approved. 5/5
