I live in America and my dog went 2 years (his whole life, after puppy food) trying different foods (that I could afford) to fit his needs. I am so happy to finally see him have healthy stool. This is the only kibble food that has agreed with his stomach. I was recommended this food at All The Best in Seattle. Thank you for making this wholesome product!

My dog is white and had a terrible problem with tear staining. She has been on First mate with Chicken and blueberries for over a year and the stains are completely gone, she loves it and so do we!

I recently got a Dalmatian puppy, and I spent a long time trying to find a food that is appropriate for his needs. Dalmatians require a food low in purines, with a moderate amount of protein. This was the only food I found that fits these needs. My pup also loves it! I pray every night that FirstMate never changes the formula!!!

I started my 2 little guys on, chicken-meal-with-blueberries a couple months ago, my Bichon/shitzu had such an allergic reaction to it. We could not figure out what he came in contact with, but gave him Benadryl for a week, then finally had to take him to the vet. The vet put him on a steroid to calm his inflammation, pink itchy skin. I took him off this food thinking that was the only new thing he had in the last couple months, I started giving it back to him again, only to have him start scratching all over again. It was disappointing because this is such a good made dog food. My other guy handles it well. And both dogs loved it. Not so sure what he is having the allergy to, but had to discontinue it for his health.

I have been feeding my precious pet first mate for a while now, and she loves it. Finally there is a dry food which contains all the healthy nutrients for my precious pet, so she can have a healthy long life.
Thank you for bringing this dry food for pet owners.
I’m very happy, because my pet is very fussy. Blessings, happy pet owner.

I have a super picky vizsla, who lost weight around a year old; we were having a lot of trouble getting weight back on him. He often wouldn’t finish his meals, which added to our concerns. So we looked for a more calorie-dense kibble, and the lovely owners at our local Global Pet Foods recommended FirstMate. At 537 kcal/cup, it’s one of the highest calorie kibbles we could find, so we were able to cut down his daily portion from over 4 cups to 3 cups, and on top of it, my vizsla, who would turn up his nose at a treat he doesn’t like, was eating kibbles as a treat! We’re so happy we found this food, which my dog consumes voraciously, and are reassured he’s getting his daily calorie needs!

I have two corgis and a small cattle dog and all love this food. My one male corgi tends to itch but not with this food. I love the idea of limited ingredients. That and the quality is what i’m sold on and lets face it….Canada is a clean and beautiful place so I’m partial to their dog food products for good reason.

I have a Scottish terrier that has really bad allergies and he gets red skin rashes and itches like crazy if he eats anything with grains, oatmeal, wheat, or peas in it. It’s incredibly hard to find a dog food that fits all of the allergies that he has, but I did it with this dog food and he loves it! I’ve had them on this dog food for 7 years, It’s definitely worth the extra money and he’s in great shape!
