WAG, Whistler B.C.
WAG, located in Whistler British Columbia, is a no-kill animal shelter providing animals with the much needed medical attention they require. WAGS offers the regions lost, abandoned or harmed animals with a sign of hope. Many of these organizations cannot function without the support of the community in the form of donation, volunteer hours or other. FirstMate does its part by offering ALL dogs or cats that enter WAGS with free food. Having a consistent diet for the entire stay at WAGS reduces the already high level of stress many of these animals are experiencing. Whistler Happy Pet, located in Whistler’s Function Junction, has helped FirstMate deliver its products to WAGS for the past five years.
S.P.C.A. – Richmond & Port Coquitlam
The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in BC. As is the case with many non-profit organizations support to fund their mission is a constant battle. FirstMate has been doing its part by providing the Richmond location and now Port Coquitlam location with our top quality diets free of charge for the feeding of the dogs and cats that enter their facility. Many of these animals are already running a high level of stress, feeding a mix of expired or donated product often adds to this stress and in many cases causes digestion or allergy problems. With a variety of formulas donated by FirstMate to address each animals individual needs, these pets are provided the top quality care and nutrition they so desperately need.
Kings Flyball
Kings Flyball was formed in 1992 by Margaret Warren, and has been a forced to be reckoned with ever since. Flyball is a sport which requires speed, agility, coordination and most importantly a strong bond between owner and dog. Flyball is not only a great form of exercise but a wonderful training tool. These dogs exert a lot of energy and require top quality nutrition.
